Children are always welcome at First Congregational Church. We take
special care with our services to ensure they feel right at home.
During
our 9am service, a casual service in our Parish Hall, there is a table
of goodies supplied by lay leaders in the church. Children and adults
alike are invited to take part in this spread during our time of passing
the peace. There is typically juice, water, milk, coffee and tea
available as well.
Also during the 9am service, we celebrate
communion each Sunday. We invite the children and the young at heart to
help serve. This communion done by intinction, dipping a piece of bread
into the cup.
At our 11am service children are invited up to
the front of the church during Children's Time, which is typically lead
by our Minister of Christian Education, Mark Williams. You can read more
about this in your Service Bulletin. Following Children's Time they are
lead to Library Time, where they learn and praise together, and return
to the Sanctuary later during the service.
We also offer a
multitude of ways for your children to be involved at the Church,
through music, education opportunities, camps and youth groups. Please
see the Church Office or call for more information - 614-228-1741. |
