The Parish Life Ministry Team has one of the best jobs in the church. Our domain is fellowship, hospitality, caring, friendship and fun. We plan activities, events and retreats for all ages, focusing on activities that draw us together as a church. For example, we coordinate special events such as the Annual Church Picnic in August and the Harvest Party in October.
We also organize the new member sponsorship program. Sponsors help new members connect with programs, develop new friendships and generally feel at home.
In fact, that's the real goal of the Parish Life Ministry—to keep the congregation dynamic—changing tentative members into active members, acquaintances into dear friends and friends into family. We hope you'll join us in this enjoyable and very important work!
Women's Group
Neighborhood women's groups meet periodically during the year. They rotate locations and invite speakers or are self-lead. Please watch the First Church News on our Web site for meeting times and locations.
Sunday Coffee/Fellowship Hour
This is a special time to meet with others attending Sunday morning worship services. The coffee and tea served during this hour is Fair Trade Coffee, a coffee which helps ensure that the world's coffee farmers get a fair price for their harvests and achieve a decent living wage.
