First Congregational Church, UCC welcomes Kevin Salem, our new Building and Grounds Superintendent! Kevin brings over 10 years of Facilities and Maintenance as well as over twenty years of management experience. Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, Kevin graduated from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio with a B.F.A in Theatre Design and Technology. While at Wright State he learned critical building manager skills such as painting, welding, fabricating, running electrical lines, and so much more. Kevin served as Facility/Property Manager at the YMCA of Greater Erie Camp Sherwin for nine years, overseeing major capital projects and improving the camp every year. He has also worked in retail management and for the YMCA of Central Ohio. 

Kevin and his wife live in the Linworth area of Columbus with his sister-in-law, their uncle, and a cat named Batsy. When he is not working, Kevin likes to spend time with his family. Kevin has a twin brother and is especially happy that his niece Clare is a first- year student at The Ohio State University. He is an Eagle Scout and he also enjoys working on art projects and reading.
