Leslie joined the First Church staff as Interim Director of Faith Formation in July 2024. In her role, she plans Christian education programming for children through adults, organizes outreach activities and events for youth and families, is the staff leader on the Faith Formation commission and nursery, and spearheads the monthly First Serves intergenerational service projects. Her goals are to bring people together through faith and friendship.

Leslie and her husband, David, were married and baptized their children at First Church. Upon joining, she served on the Capital Campaign committee before finding her volunteer sweet spot teaching Sunday School and serving on the Children’s Education Committee for many years, serving as Education Commissioner alongside Dorinda White, who’s memory is a guiding light.

With a career in public relations, marketing and non-profit leadership, Leslie feels blessed to now work with the children and members of First Church, where abundant joy and hugs are Sunday highlights. 

Outside of church, she sings with the Harmony Project, sits on the Westminster Thurber board, enjoys volunteer and consulting projects, and treasures time with family and friends.
