Melissa Kulwicki is a Graphic Designer, Photographer, and Writer. Driven by a deep commitment to the ministry and legacy of social justice at First Congregational Church, United Church of Christ, Melissa brings her passion for storytelling to her work as Communications Manager.
Melissa studied fine art at Columbus College of Art and Design and The Ohio State University, and earned an associate degree in Digital Design and Graphics from Columbus State Community College. She has also been a licensed cosmetologist and make-up artist since 1998.
A longtime member of First Congregational Church, she has served on several commissions including Commissioner of Church Vitality, Commissioner of Music, Arts and Heritage, member of the Art Committee, Faith Formation Committee, the Fiber Arts Committee, Stewardship and Growth Committee, and serves as Staff Liaison to the Communications and Technology Committee. Melissa has a deep love for Sunday School and Godly Play and has taught Sunday School for many years. She also participates regularly during worship in Children’s Time and Sunday Stories.
In her free time, Melissa’s interests include sewing, painting, reading, antiquing, genealogy, Broadway theater, music, and pop-culture trivia. She can still be found behind the chair in the salon cutting and coloring hair. Her greatest joy in life is being mother to her teenage son, Sebastian.
